Get a life kid
lol i agree with ultimate. even though you posting a thread about this topic shows that you are offended. What "mature" people do when they have a problem is just to deal with it. Posting a thread about how they hurt ur feelings is really immatue.
BTW i am sure that you will be playing video games when you are in ur twenties or later. But by then we will have some sort of VR MMORPG that you can feel and stuff. <- off the subject.
Anyway, what i am trying to say is just give it a rest and ignore it, or tell the older person off and let ur immaturity overwhelm him/her.
Get a life kid

I think you've just disproved your own argument, if there was one to start off with.

Am I the only one that thinks this argument is getting really old and pointless?
The only reason you didn't grow up seeing your parents playing games is because the entire concept of video games came out when they already had jobs and kids and stuff to worry about. The world-wide population of gamers is growing. Get over it.
<-16 year old gamer that will be gaming until he dies, be it Gameboy or PC.

Some of us are attending Community 'Collage'. Actually, I like that pun. A blend of people from all parts of the community, except for the rich ones.
In any case, what's wrong with being judged based on your age, when you're doing it yourself?
Why should people who are 20 and up be restricted from playing video games at their leisure? Is there some reason they should instead be fanatic about Football or Baseball? Is that somehow much better?
Let me give you a few pointers:
If you're spelling poorly, leaving out most capitalization and over-abbreviating, it doesn't reflect well on you. It says to people that you're impatient, unprofessional, and possibly ignorant. Of course, whether it's true or not is an entirely different story.
Look towards yourself for flaws before judging others. People that refuse to improve themselves first, before creating absurdly high standards for others, don't look good. They come off as lazy and arrogant.
And angst is generally another thing that people put off as childish. Life's hardly fair, and you either learn to do something about it, or to suffer in silence, knowing that very few other people care about your miseries, having some of their own. Also, many things people complain about are problems they caused themselves, and could remedy themselves.
Profanity never reflects well on you, either.
Now, bear in mind, if you'll notice, these all affect how others perceive you, and not what you actually are. If you're the kind of person who cares, and it seems like you are ("i hate when ppl call me"), then who's fault is this?
If you want to fit in and be liked, and then you turn around and act in a way that won't accomplish that, then why should people sympathize with you?
Either play the game the way everyone else does, or be different and accept the consequences.
Responsibility, respect, dedication, patience, and compromise are all things associated with maturity, and generally, age as well. If you want to be perceived as older and more mature, then you'd better get to work on them.
If you don't, then why are you posting here about this?
I personally don't want to hear your griping about this. If you wanted to complain about human rights, as a minor, I could lend a sympathetic ear. But this, this is you reaping what you sow.
[And what I mean by human rights are things like, religious decisions. There're children who genuinely do not share religious beliefs with their parents, and reject their religious doctrines. However, their parents can often force them, going so far as to inflicting physical pain in order to make them cooperate.]

What mercury angel said. And besides if you're 12 be immature because you can't do it forever. I'm 14 and i have my family telling me that have fun while your a kid and don't have to work. And around GW I have heared some one say life is a lot less fun with an 8 hour workday 5 days a week. So bottom line kids are immature and will always be this way. We cannot change it, but we can make an attempt to improve ourselves. When my mother and father were kids they had more restrictions and boundries with reasons not to disobey their parents (back then it was acceptable to hit your children even though it is still somewhat common) so they grew up more mature than we are today and when they compare themselves at age 12 to us at age 12 they see immature kids. At age 15 my mom was taking care of her mother when she had cancer and now i, at 14, couldn't do that and very few people i know could do that. The generations are different with different values and teachings, but posting a thread like you have does not improve your standing with the people who view this and may flame you. Sorry for any spelling and/or grammatical errors.

It's the internet, Hiawatha! You can flame people without receiving an actual punch in the face! I mean, even if you're mature, there's always the temptation of exploiting the anonymity of the internet.
Take Shinsei and Oddsock for example.

Your post would have been more believable if you had used propper english, and not insulted 20 year olds playing video games through stereotyping the exact same way people are insulting your immature age. You have not convinced me that 12 year olds are mature.
